Housing & Homelessness Services

Impacted by Brisbane’s housing crisis? No place to call your own? Help starts here. Micah Projects can connect you with a range of services to prevent and resolve homelessness.

Ending homelessness: one person, one family at a time.

The rate of homelessness is rapidly rising, globally, and here in Brisbane.

Now, with a lack of social housing, unaffordable rents and mortgages, and an astronomical cost of living, many in our community are finding themselves without a home, or struggling to stay housed.

If this is you, we're the people to call.

We can connect you with practical assistance and pathways to sustainable solutions according to your needs and circumstances.

Support is available 24/7. Our services are free.

Micah Projects is committed to ending homelessness in Brisbane through systematic change and helping one person, one family at a time.

Homelessness is solvable

People don't choose to experience homelessness — it finds them, often when economic hardship collides with personal adversity, such as illness, injury, post-traumatic stress, violence and relationship breakdown.

No one should walk this path alone. Together, we can create a future where homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.

A Housing First approach prioritises access to permanent housing and linked support to meet people's immediate needs, and aims to prevent homelessness wherever possible.

Evidence shows this restores hope and dignity, and empowers people to overcome cycles of homelessness.

More on Housing First

I have a key for my own place. A place I can truly call mine. If it rains I don’t get wet. I can come and go whenever I want. And when I come home everything is still here. I absolutely love this place. I’d still be on the street, cold, wet and miserable if it wasn’t for Micah Projects. Now I try to find my own small ways to give back by telling people I know who are homeless or couch surfing how Micah Projects can help them.
