Micah Projects, Cyclone Alfred Update

Updated 8 March 2025

Micah Projects has set up a safe place for people experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk, at Kurilpa Hall at 174 Boundary Street, West End. People seeking accommodation can come to Kurilpa Hall.

As the impact of Cyclone Alfred unfolds, Kurilpa Hall continues to operate as a safe place for people experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk, over the weekend.

We are coordinating with the Department of Housing and Public Works to get people into motels.

Our Street to Home Outreach team continues to go out to assist people and provide transport to motels or a safe place.

Our outreach team can come to people in Brisbane, please call 07 3029 7000 for assistance.

For Domestic Violence Service outreach and phone support, please call 07 3029 7000.

We continue to focus on our frontline response to support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk.

For people who access our services and programs across Brisbane and South-East Queensland, you will be contacted directly by a member of the Micah Projects team about any impacts to local programs, services and community support.

We thank you for your support during this time.
