In Australia at least one woman is killed every week by an intimate partner. Children are also victims in these homicides.
On Wednesday 1 May our annual Candle Lighting Vigil will take place.
Since 2005 Candle Lighting Vigils have taken place annually across Australia, with the first being in Queensland and organised by the 15 members of the Queensland Domestic Violence Services Network (QDVSN).
