Join us in celebrating art, diversity, and community at this free exhibition. Discover powerful stories, vibrant creativity, and a collective vision for a more inclusive future.
This exhibition showcases an inspiring mix of emerging, represented, and unrepresented artists, many of whom share lived experiences of marginalisation due to physical or intellectual disabilities, homelessness, or social isolation.
These artists are part of long-running, studio-based creative programs (some over 15 years in the making) that foster connection, self-expression, and joy through art. Facilitated by talented artists and dedicated volunteers, these programs are a testament to the power of community and creativity to
transform lives.
Why Hope Street Café?
Situated in South Brisbane’s cultural hub near GOMA and the State Library, the Hope Street Café gallery
space provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where art meets everyday life. By hosting
exhibitions in this café setting, the UAP brings art to a diverse audience, reaching those who might not
visit a traditional gallery.
About United Artists Project (UAP):
A collaborative initiative based in West End and supported by Micah Projects, UAP highlights inclusive creative practices and fosters a culture of belonging. Founded by artist Eyles, the project celebrates the resilience and talent of its artists while challenging traditional notions of representation in the art world.
