2011 Karyn Walsh receives a Queensland Disaster Hero Award
In June 2011 Micah Projects CEO Karyn Walsh received a Queensland Disaster Hero Award for her role in the January 2011 Floods.
Under Karyn's leadership, Micah Projects moved our services to the RNA Evacuation Centre on day one of the flood and stayed until the centre closed. We assisted many individuals and families into safe, temporary accommodation and continued to work with flood affected people through our Flood Recovery Housing and Support Service.
